About the Journal
The Forman Journal of Economic Studies (FJES) is a peer-reviewed academic journal, published twice a year by the Department of Economics, Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) Lahore. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan recognizes FJES in the Y-category.
Since 2005, the journal has provided a platform for presenting quality research and sharing academic knowledge in all fields of economics for a broad national and international readership. FJES welcomes submissions, whether these be theoretical, empirical, or orientated towards academics or policy designers. The Editorial Board of the FJES carries a wide range of expertise with a commitment to provide a broad spectrum of high quality and stimulating articles to its readers while ensuring a system of rapid feedback to submitting authors. The journal always welcomes the valued contributions from academicians, researchers, policymakers and professionals, from Pakistan and abroad, without any discrimination.
FJES strictly follows the ethical guidelines of HEC and aligns with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). FJES is an open-access journal, following an open license (Creative Commons). Therefore, the Editorial Board of FJES requires certain publishing rights from the authors to publish and disseminate research articles. Authors have many of the same rights under our publishing agreement, which support their need to share, disseminate and maximize the impact of their research.
The journal does not charge any submission or publication fee. Therefore, authors are not required to pay Article Processing Charges (APC) and Article Publication Fee (APF) to cover the costs related to the administration and management of the journal, the process of peer review, and professional production and dissemination of the published papers. All the expenses associated with the publication of FJES are borne by HEC & its publisher, the Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore, Pakistan.
